Staying organized can go a long way toward making the process of applying for residency and matching less stressful. From September 2022 to around February 2023, students will apply to programs through ERAS and complete interviews. Don’t miss a deadline – the calendar below has all the important dates you need! Match 2022 timeline for applying to residency June June 8, 2022: ERAS 2023 season begins at 9 a.m. E.T. August Aug. 1, 2022: Supplemental ERAS application opens for applicants. September Sept. 7, 2022: Residency applicants may begin submitting MyERAS applications to programs at 9 a.m. E.T.Sept. 15, 2022: Registration opens for the NRMP 2023 main residency match at 12 p.m. E.T.Sept. 16, 2022: Supplemental ERAS application closes for applicants at 5 p.m. E.T.Sept. 28, 2022: Residency programs may begin reviewing MyERAS applications, MSPEs and supplemental ERAS application data (if applicable) in the PDWS at 9 a.m. E.T. January Jan. 31, 2023: The standard registration deadline for the NRMP Match is at 11:59 p.m. E.T. Applicants who register for The Match after this date will incur a $50 additional late fee. This is also the deadline for residency programs to withdraw from the Match and enter their program’s SOAP participation status. February Feb. 1, 2023: Rank order list entry opens at 12 p.m. ET. Medical schools start verification for student/graduate graduation credentials. March March 1, 2023: Rank order list deadline. Applicants must have their rank order lists certified by 9 p.m. ET. This is also the deadline for the following:Applicant late registration and match withdrawalMedical school student/graduate credentials verificationMarch 13, 2023: NRMP Match Week beings. SOAP applicants can start preparing applications in the AAMC ERAS® system.March 16, 2023: SOAP rounds 1-4, throughout the day.March 17, 2023: NRMP Match Day! Applicant Match results are available at 12 p.m. ET. May May 31, 2023: ERAS 2023 season ends at 5 p.m. E.T.
