Ohio Gov. John Kasich recently signed legislation designating April as Osteopathic Medicine Recognition Month in Ohio. Rep. Terry Johnson, DO, introduced the bill in 2015 as a way to highlight the significant contributions osteopathic medicine has made towards improving the health of Ohioans. The AOA is also promoting DO pride via its osteopathic awareness campaign, which has been spreading the word about osteopathic medicine via news articles and advertisements online and in national magazines such as People and Runner’s World.
