The NRMP is taking nominations for various positions including: three directors, one resident/fellow physician and one medical student. NRMP’s Nominating Committee considers different attributes for each position. The full criteria are available on the NRMP site. Last year, Thomas Wickham, OMS III, University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, became the first osteopathic medical student to be elected to the NRMP board of directors. He is one of three student directors serving on the board. The student position is a two-year term of service. “NRMP has been so receptive and open to students. It’s a good time for osteopathic students to speak up and share if we have an idea,” Wickham says. Nominations should include a curricula vitae and a letter of support emailed to [email protected]. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 1, 2019.
