Craig Moffett, DO, named to Ole Miss ‘40 Under 40’ class of 2026 The Ole Miss Alumni Association has recognized M. Craig Moffett, DO, as a member of the 2026 class of “40 Under 40” award recipients. Each year, the University of Mississippi (commonly referred to as Ole Miss) spotlights alumni who “forge partnerships, solve problems, blaze trails and serve their communities” across a variety of professions, qualities that Dr. Moffett has exemplified through his commitment to rural healthcare. M. Craig Moffett, DO Dr. Moffett, a 2011 (BS, BA) and 2012 (MS) graduate of Ole Miss, is a family medicine physician with North Mississippi Health Services in Maben, Mississippi. In addition to providing care in clinical, hospital, emergency and long-term care settings, Dr. Moffett also serves as the medical director for five long-term care facilities, ensuring high-quality care for vulnerable patient populations. A native of rural Mississippi, Dr. Moffett has dedicated his career to expanding healthcare access. In 2024, he founded Doctor’s Inn Care Homes, an organization that applies a physician perspective to assisted living, leading to partnerships with top-tier medical and home health services to enhance the quality of life for residents. In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Moffett also devotes his time to healthcare advocacy. Currently, he serves on the Mississippi State Medical Association’s Board of Trustees and as a member of the Mississippi Medicaid Medical Care Advisory Committee, a role to which he was appointed by Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann. Additionally, he also serves as the lead medic for the Webster County Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team. Dr. Moffett credits Ole Miss with introducing him to the lifelong mentors and colleagues who have shaped his professional trajectory. His years at the university were equally transformative on a personal level, as it was through Ole Miss that he met his wife, Courtney, with whom he has four children. “It is truly an honor to be recognized as a 40 Under 40 alumni by the University of Mississippi, an institution that played a foundational role in shaping both my personal and professional journeys,” Dr. Moffett said. “As a proud osteopathic physician, I carry forward the principles of holistic, patient-centered care that align so closely with the values instilled in me during my time at Ole Miss. Mikhail “Dr. Mike” Varshavski, DO Mikhail ‘Dr. Mike’ Varshavski, DO, named among ‘TIME’s’ 100 most influential people in healthcare for 2026 Mikhail Varshavski, DO, has been named to the 2026 TIME100 Health list, an annual ranking of the world’s most influential individuals in healthcare. Dr. Varshavski, more commonly known as “Dr. Mike,” is a board-certified family physician and global medical influencer with over 14.7 million YouTube subscribers. Listed in the “Catalysts” category, Dr. Varshavski was recognized for his role as a trustworthy source of vetted health information during a period of shifting public trust in government agencies. TIME specifically highlighted his 2025 debate with 20 anti-vaccine activists, which generated nearly one billion views across various platforms. “To be able to reach people with valuable information in this day and age—responsibly, without attacking anyone, and leading with empathy and transparency—is the biggest badge of honor,” Dr. Varshavski said.
