The workshop will bring together policymakers, legal experts, and industry leaders to examine the role of noncompete agreements in today’s labor market. Noncompete agreements—clauses in employment contracts that restrict workers’ future job opportunities—are under increasing scrutiny for how they may limit career mobility and restrain competition for talent. The FTC has reprioritized enforcement and education in this space. Dr. Kendall’s participation highlights the importance of healthcare perspectives in these discussions. She will draw on her expertise to address how noncompete agreements affect physicians and other healthcare professionals, offering valuable insight into workforce trends, recruitment challenges, and the broader implications for healthcare access and delivery. This workshop is an opportunity for practitioners and employers to engage with emerging policy trends around employment practices. A livestream will be available here.
