According to the CDC, up to 30% of antibiotic prescriptions are unnecessary, which could lead to people developing infections from antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Opportunities to promote antibiotic stewardship throughout the week include: Sign up for the #AntibioticSmart Thunderclap campaign, which will be held at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 14. Join the CDC’s #AntibioticResistance Twitter chat at 11 a.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 18. Download and share with your patients print materials about antibiotics.
