The AOA has prepared a detailed summary to help physicians prepare for changes that will take effect in 2024, including: Discussion of overall payment changes with considerations across specialties; Changes to Medicare telehealth policies that support continued payment and access; New policies seeking to support payment for services addressing health-related social needs; Improvements to payment for behavioral health services; and Changes to Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Alternative Payment Model (APM).
