Jones, CAE Award is Kris T. Nicholoff, CEO/executive director, Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA), in recognition of his leadership and tremendous contributions toward advancing osteopathic medicine. The award is named in honor of Bob E. Jones, CAE, who served as executive director of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association from 1969-1999, and whose 30-year leadership of the association resulted in numerous advances for the profession. Nicholoff has held the position of CEO/executive director of the MOA since 2010. Under his leadership, the association has experienced industry-leading financial stability, unprecedented membership growth, and a reinvigorated commitment to public policy and advocacy. Throughout the nearly four decades of his career, Nicholoff has forged relationships with countless people. His ability to create and nurture strong relationships has proven extraordinarily significant in the financial health of MOA and has supported many initiatives. Kris T. Nicholoff, CEO/executive director of the Michigan Osteopathic Association He instituted a program of building “Strategic Partnerships” with a wide variety of hospital systems, professional health care organizations and members of the health care insurance industry. The program has been so successful that other osteopathic organizations have replicated this model. Working to deepen and expand the organization’s circle of partners has been a tremendous help to MOA’s wellbeing and has made a significant impact in efforts to support and nurture the osteopathic profession in Michigan and across the nation. Nicholoff’s efforts as a talented advocate have moved the MOA onto a more collaborative, collegial path. He is a dedicated, innovative, and creative servant leader whose primary intent is to be of service to osteopathic physicians and to support the osteopathic profession. The AOA recognized and presented the Bob E. Jones, CAE Award to Nicholoff during the AOA House of Delegates Annual Meeting held in July.
