COVID-19 resources for DOs and DO students: New pandemic resources tool and wellness hub

Learn about the latest tools, news and updates available to help you navigate the global pandemic.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the AOA’s top priority remains supporting the needs of DOs and osteopathic medical students.

We have assembled a resource page to help physicians and medical students navigate the global health crisis—whether you are caring for patients as a frontline health care professional or supporting in other ways.

AOA staff members are continuously updating this page as new information becomes available. Here are some of the latest updates.

Use the new AOA Navigator tool to get personal, customized assistance with accessing COVID-19 information and resources

Whether you’re seeking new COVID-19 information and resources or you simply have questions on how the pandemic may affect your AOA board certification, your career or your practice, you can complete the AOA Navigator form and an AOA team member will reach out to you within 24 to 48 hours to help.

Physician Wellness resource hub now available

The pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic have made maintaining mental wellness challenging for many. If you’re in need of support, the AOA is here to help. Explore the materials on the AOA’s new Physician Wellness hub, which include a list of free or discounted wellness and meditation apps, free webinars and other resources, to learn more.

Submit nominees for the AOA’s new COVID-19 Initiative Award

To recognize individuals and organizations that have provided outstanding contributions and unique services to the osteopathic community during COVID-19, the American Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees has established a new honor, the AOA COVID-19 Initiative Award.

The submission process is open to individuals, osteopathic affiliates and partner organizations in the following four categories: student, resident, physician-in-practice, and organization. To apply or submit a nomination, please submit a completed application no later than Friday, Sept. 18, 2020.
