Aug. 19, 2020Wednesday AOA Staff Contact AOA Staff Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email The application for the early entry initial certification (EEIC) examination for AOA Board Certification in family medicine is now open. The EEIC application deadline is Oct. 31, with a final deadline and late fee of $100 on Dec. 15. The test will be administered at Pearson VUE testing centers nationwide from Jan. 16-30, 2021. This EEIC allows residents to seek specialty board certification in family medicine while still in residency. Osteopathic family medicine residents in their final year of an AOA-approved/ACGME-accredited training program are eligible to apply for the EEIC exam. To be eligible, residents must have taken at least two AOBFP in-service examinations (ISE or ISE+) out of their three yearly in-service examinations during their residency. In preparation for the EEIC, the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians will host a free live webinar for program directors and resident physicians on Monday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. CT to discuss benefits, review eligibility requirements and answer questions. Attendees are required to pre-register and can do so here.
