The AOA nominated these DOs for these positions. Cole Zanetti, DO, MPH, is serving on CMS’ Technical Expert Panel for the 2019 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Improvement Activities. The TEP is reviewing selected MIPS Improvement Activities. Seger S. Morris, DO, MBA, chair of the AOA’s Bureau of Emerging Leaders and the New Physician in Practice member of the AOA Board of Trustees, is serving on CMS’ MACRA Episode-Based Cost Measure Hospital Medicine Clinical Subcommittee. The subcommittee will help develop episode-based cost measures in hospital medicine suitable for potential use in the Quality Payment Program. Nina Paonessa, DO, is serving on CMS’ MACRA Episode-Based Cost Measure General and Colorectal Surgery Clinical Subcommittee. The subcommittee will help develop episode-based cost measures in general and colorectal surgery suitable for potential use in the Quality Payment Program. In addition, Dale Bratzler, DO, MPH, is serving on CMS’ Technical Expert Panel for the 2021 Impact Assessment of CMS Quality and Efficiency Measures project. The TEP is reviewing selected quality measures.
