Call for Leaders AACOM Health Policy Fellowship deadline extended Year-long training program prepares DOs and professionals in osteopathic medicine to play an influential role in the development of health policy. April 16, 2018Monday The DO Staff Contact The DO Staff Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Applications for The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Health Policy Fellowship (HPF) will be accepted through May 1, 2018. The year-long training program, offered through the AACOM Leadership Institute, includes nine seminars beginning in September and is designed for individuals preparing for leadership roles in the osteopathic profession and positions of influence in health policy. Applicants are not required to have a DO degree to be considered, but candidates should demonstrate a strong and established professional connection to osteopathic medicine. During the program, fellows learn about a variety of topics, including health care financing, the health care workforce, vulnerable populations, rural health, policy analysis, advocacy, federal and state health programs, health care reform and effective communication and leadership skills. The HPF is an AACOM program coordinated by the HPF office at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Find more information here.
