The goal of the program is to show students interested in the health care professions the importance of biomedical, clinical, epidemiological and educational research topics. “Research is critical to developing our professionals within the medical field, and it is important for us to encourage research early in the education process,” says Mahboob Quereshi, MD, associate dean of research at Touro University Nevada. “We hope this opportunity will give the students that encouragement for their future field of study as they work alongside our distinguished faculty and current students.” During the eight-week program, students formulate their own proposal, conduct research and write a final research report under the supervision of TUN faculty. Qualified students will be able to publish their work. Applicants must have their own housing to be accepted into the program.
