I agree that expanding the number of providers that can treat OUD is a good idea. However, ALL providers with a DEA license will now have to get 8 hours of training to renew their license. “A total of eight hours of training from certain organizations on opioid or other substance use disorders for practitioners renewing or newly applying for a registration from the DEA to prescribe any Schedule II-V controlled medications”-SAMHSA.GOV Mar. 30, 2023, at 1:54 pm Reply
