News in brief in-Training seeks applications for Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief positions The opportunities are open to all medical students. Jan. 27, 2021Wednesday The DO Staff Contact The DO Staff Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email in-Training, an online peer-reviewed publication for medical students, is now accepting applications from medical students who would like to serve in its co-Managing Editor or co-Editor-in-Chief positions. Applications are due Feb. 15. The application form is available here and the call for applications is here. Students do not need prior experience with in-Training to apply. If you have any questions about the roles, you can reach out to [email protected]. Managing Editor role: Serves as an intermediary position between medical student editors and the editors-in-chief. Primary responsibilities include conducting initial reviews of newly submitted pieces, assigning editors, following up on the editorial process for each piece, setting tentative schedule dates. EIC role: Responsible for content of the website, communication with third parties, overseeing the staff, editorial process, overseeing the WiT program as well as social media. Ensure that in-Training is promoting medical student expression that is synergistic with the values and mission of the publication.
