Top 5 most competitive subspecialties 2018-2019 Gynecologic oncology Maternal-fetal medicine Reproductive endocrinology Hand surgery Pediatric surgery The above subspecialties filled at least 95 percent of the positions offered. Top 5 least competitive subspecialties 2018-2019 Clinical ultrasound Geriatric medicine Medical genetics Pediatric endocrinology Pediatric infectious disease The above subspecialties filled less than 60 percent of the positions offered. Note: The above lists are the most and least competitive subspecialties among those that offered at least 30 positions.
