Dr. Peterson was known for founding the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and other sports medicine associations, including the International Council of Motorsport Sciences. After finishing his medical training, Dr. Peterson opened a sports medicine clinic in Seattle in the 1960s. It became one of the largest privately owned sports medicine practices in the nation. During his career, Dr. Peterson served as an associate physician for all of Seattle’s pro sports teams. He also treated high school athletes, college athletes, rodeo performers and boat racers, his obituary reports. Dr. Peterson graduated from the A.T.
