White, DO, an osteopathic radiologist, has received a Distinguished Service Award—the American Osteopathic Association’s highest honor. The award, presented during OMED 2016 in Anaheim, California, recognizes leaders of the osteopathic medical profession who have made outstanding accomplishments and contributions in the advancement of osteopathic medicine, education or other fields of public service. Frederick White, DO Grateful for the mentorship of physicians during his training, Dr. White has served as a medical educator for 35 years. Currently he is a clinical associate professor for the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Dr. White also serves as the medical director of the Hemet Radiology Medical Group and the Hemet Valley Imaging Medical Group in California. A past president of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology, he has led the college to create relevant continuing medical education options. Additionally, Dr. White serves on the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Education. “The AOA honors Dr. White for his efforts to advance osteopathic medical education and to inspire generations of osteopathic medical students,” says AOA President Boyd R.
