April 20, 2020Monday AOA Staff Contact AOA Staff Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email In an effort to promote more engagement opportunities within the osteopathic profession and to help new physicians connect with fellow industry leaders, the AOA’s Bureau of Emerging Leaders is offering 10 OMED scholarships for postdoctoral trainees. Scholarships will include a $1,500 stipend and complimentary OMED registration. OMED 2020 will take place in Austin, Texas, October 15-19. Applicants must apply by June 1, 2020, and meet the following criteria for consideration: Enrolled in an AOA- or ACGME-approved postdoctoral training program (Those who will be starting residency programs this July are also eligible for the scholarship.) First time OMED attendee If you have an interest in AOA board certification or professional advocacy, you are encouraged to apply. A recipient of the scholarship in 2018, Matthew Barker, DO, shared this testimonial: “This is my last year of residency and I had never had the opportunity to attend, and my only regret is not having attended earlier!
