June 29, 2016Wednesday The DO Staff Contact The DO Staff Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Although Robert Cromley, DO, studied osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) as part of his studies at the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, it wasn’t until he received this treatment to alleviate his own back pain that he began to really appreciate the effectiveness of this modality. “If you had told me six years ago I’d be using manipulation with the results I’m seeing, I wouldn’t have believed you. But the results are amazing,” Dr. Cromley told the Port Clinton (Ohio) News Herald. Dr. Cromley treats about 30% of his patients using OMM, many of whom have found pain relief without the use of medication. “My goal is to impel patients to choose medicine as a short route or do without it completely,” Dr. Cromley says.
