To avoid burnout, physicians must pursue other interests outside of medicine, says Robert Gear III, DO. “I love being a doctor, but I also love doing other things,” he says. When he’s not working, Dr. Gear spends his time fishing, skiing and flying.

    A great way to relieve stress is to spend time with your pets. My dogs provide unconditional love, affection and a great reason to get up and exercise every morning!

    so burned out……. hospital politics, productivity. It’s exhausting. I used to love my job, and look forward to the drive in. Now I only look forward to the drive home.
